About the project
Crônicas Mitológicas is the first original series from Kōyō Studio. Each episode retells a myth from a different culture, and each one is built in its own visual language, chosen to serve that story. The studio treats the series as a visual laboratory: the style follows the narrative, never the other way around.
Episode 01, “O Canto de Orfeu no Submundo”, is set in Ancient Greece. Its art direction borrows from felt stop-motion: a tactile, cosy texture set against one of the darkest love stories in mythology.
